China has more than 1,800 rehabilitation centers for treating children under 14 with autism, with very few catering to the needs of autistic adults.


1. China’s National Resource Center for Autism Education

Launched in December 2024 at Zhejiang Normal University, Hangzhou. This is China’s first national special education resource hub for autistic children, with government-backed programs in special schools, inclusive education, and teaching-assistant systems across provinces.

2. Beijing Stars and Rain Institution

China’s first and most prominent autism NGO, founded in 1993. Offers ABA-based training for children, parents, and educators, and provides technical support to government and local intervention centers.
